A lawyer in her 20s (played by RASHMIKA MANDANNA ) suddenly loses her mother (NEENA GUPTA). This forces her to re evaluate her ideologies and her estranged relationship with her father and siblings. This story opens the conversation about death and is an attempt at making people realize that if we talk about death more openly, losing a loved one will be much easier and less scary to deal with.   Overall Goodbye is a coming-of-age story of a family that takes the gloomiest period to make sunshine. Where after coming together to mourn their mother, the family once again tries to cement its foundation with understanding, openness, laughter and warmth, things that their mother had in good measure. It is about a family that promises to be closer though she has gone far away.

This movie revolves around the love-hate relationship between the family members about the difference of opinions and their attitudes. Movie is brilliantly  made with fresh concept where this movie gives good message heart warm feelings.

Performance wise Amitabh Bachchan is impeccable, and he is an absolute delight to watch throughout the movie. RASHMIKA MANDANNA plays a fierce, independent, uncompromising woman to perfection. She shines here with her cute expressions and mannerisms added by her extremely natural - look, dialogue delivery, emotions and expressions
